Driveway, side and patio with new lawns, Wilmslow

Here we have another of our recent projects to show you, this time a lovely driveway, side and patio with a new lawn for that finishing touch.

 Some careful digging required with this one.

Driveway is to feature the European fan pattern, a popular and effective design.  We create this pattern by using our steel templates which we had made especially for us.

Just like a jigsaw puzzle, we complete the outside edge first, or "Bands" as they prefer to be known.

Dampen down as we go.

Laying of setts complete we now wet again ready for application of resin.  2 part Romex is our resin of choice.

Pointing of driveway completed, we can now move onto next part of project.

Englarged entrace way to house.   The more eagle eyed readers may also have noticed the two concealed manhole covers :-)

Once pointed the two areas blend seamlessly together.

Unlike Concrete Block Pavers or reproduction concrete cobbles you can actually drive 30 ton vehicles on granite setts, they also retain their colour and will contine looking great for many years, if not centuries to come.

New patio to rear, as our name suggests, we only use original or natural stone.

As before, we wet or dampen down as we go along and pointed with Weather point from Marshalls.  Must say, I was very impressed with this product.

Last stage of project now, prepping of garden area for laying of new turf.

Land drain under gravel to ensure adequate drainage, nobody wants a waterlogged lawn.

Rolawn medallion turf the best in our opinion.
